It’s now 10 months since we moved into our Brunswick clinic at 301 Albert Street, Brunswick. We had 37 solar panels installed on the roof as part of the building and fitout works, so recently we thought we’d see how it had performed for us. Doing our bit for the environment is important to the principals, doctors and indeed the whole team at Turn The Corner Brunswick. And we know environmental issues are important to many in the Brunswick community, having elected their first Green MP to the Victorian Parliament in 2018 – Dr Tim Read, who happens to be a doctor.
When we looked at the numbers, we discovered that our Brunswick clinic is truly energising. To date, Turn The Corner Brunswick has consumed about 10 MWh of electricity, but our solar panels have produced over 12 MWh. We’re exporting electricity to the grid on a regular basis – particularly in these summer months, and at weekends when we’re not using much ourselves – which we feel very proud about.
If you live in the Brunswick or Coburg area, then next time you open your fridge or turn on your TV, think about Turn The Corner Brunswick… we might be helping to energise your life.
