End of year closure

End of year closure

Posted on Nov 18, 2020

2020 has been a year like no other.

Sadly, my dad passed away in the middle of the last lockdown, on August the 2nd. He is very much missed and I am hoping the funeral we were unable to have can be held next year.

The Turn The Corner team of doctors, nurses and support staff has done a tremendous job in difficult circumstances to provide health services to our community throughout the lockdown. We’ve sourced PPE gear from all over the world to help keep everyone safe; we’ve kept the clinic open for face-to-face consults throughout (while also introducing telehealth as an option); we’ve run COVID-swabbing clinics in the car park in the middle of winter… and of course we also moved into new premises in the midst of it all. I’m so incredibly proud of what the team has achieved.

As a result of all of that, the team needs a break. We’re going to close the clinic from 20 December – 03 January inclusive. To make sure we are able to have all repeat requests taken care of, please ensure that you have ordered your repeat script or referral by 17 December. During the closure, we will not be answering the phones but you are still able to book appointments for the New Year here.

Thank you for supporting us through everything this year. It has been a privilege to care for you and yours through this time.

We look forward to seeing you again from Monday, 04 January.

Dr Tamsin Franklin, Principal.
