Everyone you will meet at Turn The Corner Medical Clinic is qualified, experienced, and passionate about helping our clients be the healthiest that they can be.
I am the owner and principal General Practitioner at Turn The Corner. I live in Northcote and am very proud of my team who all work hard to provide a high-quality personal service. Managing aging to enable people to remain independent, engaged with life and emotionally content is important to me as a doctor and I have built a strong network of allied health practitioners and specialists that I can access to help provide for those with complex care needs. In less esoteric terms, I have extensive experience in managing mental health issues, I am an advocate for women in terms of our reproductive choices, and as such can insert IUD devices as well as manage shared care of pregnancy. I have always been active myself and enjoy sports medicine, as well as weight loss and fitness improvement.

After graduating from the University of Melbourne, I worked in major metropolitan teaching hospitals as well as rural and remote towns throughout Australia. As a qualified General Practitioner I am passionate about child and family health, have a background in mental health treatment, and a specialty interest in skin cancer medicine for which I have undertaken advanced training. I maintain inclusive and open engagement and health promotion within the local community and when not at work can be found cycling around the inner North with my young family, or playing in my bluegrass band.

I am passionate about all aspects of General Practice with particular interest in chronic disease management, women’s health, minor procedures and dermatology (a field in which I also undertake clinical research).
While I’m new to Melbourne, I’m not new to practice nursing. I love the variety of scope that working in General Practice allows, including immunisations, chronic disease care planning and health assessments. I’m thoroughly enjoying being part of a team that provides great patient focused care.
I enjoy the many facets that practice nursing entails and have a special interest in preventative health and young people’s health and well-being. I am an Accredited Cervical Screening Provider and provide Nurse-led appointments for routine childhood vaccinations. I work closely with the whole GP team, and enjoy being part of a practice that puts patient care first.
