Everyone you will meet at Turn The Corner Medical Clinic is qualified, experienced, and passionate about helping our clients be the healthiest that they can be.
I am the owner and principal General Practitioner at Turn The Corner. I live in Northcote and am very proud of my team who all work hard to provide a high-quality personal service. Managing aging to enable people to remain independent, engaged with life and emotionally content is important to me as a doctor and I have built a strong network of allied health practitioners and specialists that I can access to help provide for those with complex care needs. In less esoteric terms, I have extensive experience in managing mental health issues, I am an advocate for women in terms of our reproductive choices, and as such can insert IUD devices as well as manage shared care of pregnancy. I have always been active myself and enjoy sports medicine, as well as weight loss and fitness improvement.
I am passionate about all aspects of general practice with particular interest in mental health, sexual and reproductive health (including LGBTQIA health and being a PrEP prescriber), chronic disease management and dermatology. I am qualified to perform minor procedures including skin biopsies, iron infusions and Implanon insertions. I completed my medical degree at the University of Adelaide and am a member of the RACGP.
I have 20 years of experience in all aspects of General Practice and particular interests in women’s health, antenatal care, sexual health, weight management and preventive medicine. I am a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and have a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology by RANZCOG.
I am a fully qualified Australian GP who enjoys all aspects of General Practice and strives to provide great healthcare for all your health needs. I have specialist training in women’s health and can provide contraceptive advice, cervical screening, Implanon insertion/removal and discuss pregnancy planning and early management. Additionally, I enjoy caring for new mums, providing breastfeeding advice and discussing sleep and settling techniques. I am also able to address any concerns you may have regarding the growth, development or behaviour of your children. I enjoy all aspects of caring for babies, children and adolescents and have completed a Diploma in Child Health. I am particularly passionate about caring for the mental well-being of my patients and have extra training in mental health counselling and caring for patients with concerns including anxiety, depression and autism spectrum disorders.
I believe in quality, comprehensive, holistic care, and offer that in health partnerships with my patients. Whilst I enjoy caring for all patients, my special interests are preventative medicine, women’s health, paediatric and adolescent health, and weight management. I attained RACGP fellowship in 2004, being awarded the certificate of excellence. I strongly believe in maintaining up-to-date knowledge through regular further education. I have two children and two goldadors, and enjoy time with family and best friends, reading, cooking, travelling, and running.

Senior Practice Nurse
Born in Fiji, I grew up in New Zealand and moved to Melbourne in 2013 with my family. I have worked as a practice nurse for the last 24years. Nursing is my passion. I have a special interest in Chronic Disease management and extensive experience in Care Planning, Iron Infusions, Vaccinations, and wound management. I value my role as a patient advocate and educator, and enjoy teaching and mentoring upcoming nurses. I thrive on making my patients comfortable and being their support person. For leisure, I enjoy spending time with my family and my pets, cooking, visiting the gym, and exploring this beautiful country.
I entered practice nursing because I have the opportunity to empower patients with knowledge, and enjoy bringing an understanding to the patient in confusing and challenging times. When I see that a patient understands their medical condition and is confident in self-management it is a wonderful feeling. I have extensive experience in care planning, health assessments, immunisations, iron infusions, wound care and assisting doctors with procedures. I am committed to ongoing education to ensure I can bring best practice to my nursing role for the benefit of the patient and the team at Turn The Corner. Outside of work, I’m interested in tai chi, cycling and charity work.
I have been working in the medical industry for over 20 years. I find it rewarding ensuring patients’ needs are always met in a friendly, professional and efficient way. In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit and healthy, regularly challenging myself in events such as Tough Mudder and Eureka Stair Climb.
