  • Dr. Tamsin Franklin

    General Practitioner

    I am the owner and principal General Practitioner at Turn The Corner. I live in Northcote and am very proud of my team who all work hard to provide a high-quality personal service. I have experience in managing mental health issues, and bring an affirming and collaborative approach to maximising emotional as well as physical wellbeing. I am an advocate for reproductive choices. I insert and remove all long-active contraception options and am accredited to provide shared care of pregnancy. I am active and enjoy sports medicine, as well as taking a person-centred, non-shaming approach to weight loss and fitness improvement. I am very excited that our sister practice is opening in Brunswick and will be consulting at both sites. If you ever have any concerns (or complements!) about the clinic, please do not hesitate to reach out to me as I am always wanting to improve how we care for our community.

  • Dr. Robin Wong

    General Practitioner

    I am from the UK and moved to Australia in 2013. I trained at Kings College, London, and spent several years working in excellent hospitals, including Addenbrooke’s in Cambridge, the John Radcliffe in Oxford and Papworth Cardiothoracic hospital. I obtained membership of the Royal College of Physicians, and undertook GP training in Oxford, where I also worked as a GP endoscopist for six years. I then relocated to my favourite city, Melbourne! I enjoy working collaboratively with patients. Special interests include cardiac, chest, gut, endocrine, mental health and paediatric medicine. I perform joint injections and am a PrEP prescriber. When not at work I spend far too much time rock climbing, a passion I share with my family.

  • Dr. Stefan Panczak

    General Practitioner

    I am an experienced GP who is passionate about holistic patient care. I graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2001 and hold a Diploma in Child Health from Westmead Hospital (Sydney). I moved to Melbourne after living and working in London for over 10 years where I gained a broad experience in many different areas of medicine.
    I have a special interest in adolescent and adult mental health, travel medicine, skin health, weight loss management, men’s health and healthy ageing. I am a PrEP prescriber. I perform Implanon insertion and removal, and minor skin procedures.
    Away from general practice I enjoy composing music, cycling and travelling with my family.

  • Dr. Monica Foong

    General Practitioner​

    I am an Australian-trained GP and a Monash University medical graduate. My aim is for patients to feel heard and empowered when it comes to looking after their health. My special interests include women’s health, children’s health, dermatology and chronic disease management. I have additional certificates in Children’s Health and Skin Cancer Medicine. I perform Implanon insertion and removal, Mirena removal, iron infusions as well as minor skin surgery.

  • Dr. Anastasia Jaffa

    General Practitioner

    I love being a General Practitioner and want to provide my patients with the best possible holistic care. Before moving to Australia in 2011 I worked in the UK and gained experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine and Oncology. I also obtained a Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. I especially enjoy looking after young families and children and hold a Diploma in Child Health as well as being a Fellow of the RACGP. I provide advice on contraception or HRT, cervical screening and sexual health screening. I also enjoy looking after elderly people and patients with complex medical conditions.

  • Dr. Kirstin Jennings

    General Practitioner​

    I’ve worked as a GP for 15 years and enjoy all aspects of general practice, with special interest in preventative care, paediatrics, sexual and women’s health, skin and minor procedures, aged care, chronic disease, and travel health. I hold a diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a certificate in Family Planning and Sexual Health. I now train upcoming GPs one day a week. I provide shared care and iron infusions, and am qualified at IUD and Implanon insertion and removals. I believe it is important to build relationships and empower patients for better outcomes in the treatment and prevention of disease. Outside of work, I enjoy active travel with my family (when I can!), as well as cooking, reading and trying to stay fit.

  • Dr. Bilal Chaudary

    General Practitioner​

    I very much enjoy being a GP and have a focus on holistic and patient centred care. I studied and trained in Scotland, and am now a member of both RACGP and General Medical Council in the UK. I have a keen interest in Rheumatology, Psychiatry, and the management of back pain.

    I have a therapy dog, Bruno (a yellow Labrador) with me in the clinic who is super cute and friendly. I am a member of the LGBTIQ+ community and have a keen interest in managing health within the community as well as prescribing PrEP. In my free time I enjoy cooking and entertaining as well some cheeky Netflix time!

  • Dr. Nick Silberstein

    General Practitioner​

    I have spent most of my medical life as a general practitioner in rural and city settings in several countries. I have specific training and experience in sexual and reproductive health, including contraception, the prevention, detection and management of sexually transmissible conditions and antenatal and postnatal shared care. I am also able to discuss options in early pregnancy.
    I prescribe HIV PrEP, and can fit and remove IUD and Implanon. I also have an interest in gender medicine and I am happy to discuss and implement hormone therapy. I am accredited to prescribe for HIV and Hepatitis B and have an association with the Alfred Hospital for this reason. I can advise on travel medicine and all aspects of immunisation.
    Having said all of that, everyone is welcome; true general practice means that whatever the problem, you can be seen.

    General Practitioner

    I am an experienced GP with a friendly and approachable manner. I like developing enduring therapeutic relationship with my patients to help them achieve their best health outcomes. I am confident in all aspects of general practice and have a particular interest in women’s health, sexual health, fertility, pregnancy care, contraception and menopause. I also enjoy looking after babies and children and hold a diploma of paediatrics. I am thrilled to be able to provide shared maternity care, as well as insert and remove Implanons and IUDs. Outside of work I love hanging out with my family, learning new things, and getting into the great outdoors.

  • Dr. Bridie Mee

    General Practitioner​

    I love being a GP, providing comprehensive and holistic care in all areas of general practice. My approach is friendly, thorough and collaborative. Special interests include sexual health, preventative care, women’s health, chronic diseases and mental health, but all ages and issues are welcome. I provide shared antenatal care, early pregnancy counselling and management. I also provide sexual health checks, prescribe PrEP, insert and remove IUDs and Implanon, and perform minor skin procedures. I have worked at the Melbourne Sexual Health Centre and obtained a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology while at the Royal Women’s. Outside work, I love exploring nature with my family and catching the local gig scene.

    General Practitioner​

    I am passionate about all aspects of general practice with particular interest in mental health, sexual and reproductive health (including LGBTQIA health and being a PrEP prescriber), chronic disease management and dermatology. I am qualified to perform minor procedures including skin biopsies, iron infusions and Implanon insertions. I completed my medical degree at the University of Adelaide and am a member of the RACGP.

    I am a fully qualified Australian GP who enjoys all aspects of General Practice and strives to provide great healthcare for all your health needs. I have specialist training in women’s health and can provide contraceptive advice, cervical screening, Implanon insertion/removal and discuss pregnancy planning and early management. Additionally, I enjoy caring for new mums, providing breastfeeding advice and discussing sleep and settling techniques. I am also able to address any concerns you may have regarding the growth, development or behaviour of your children. I enjoy all aspects of caring for babies, children and adolescents and have completed a Diploma in Child Health. I am particularly passionate about caring for the mental well-being of my patients and have extra training in mental health counselling and caring for patients with concerns including anxiety, depression and autism spectrum disorders.

    I am a General Practitioner who firmly believes primary care is the keystone to better health outcomes and am excited to partner with the Northcote community on this journey. I graduated from the University of Dundee in Scotland and completed my GP training in South Australia with a focus on rural GP Anaesthetics and also hold a Diploma in Child Health. I have experience with Implanons, basic skin excisions and providing support and counsel for those times when life feels too hard. Outside of work I am an avid photographer, book-hoarder and aspiring futurist.

    General Practitioner​

    I am an experienced GP and Lecturer in Primary Care at the University of Melbourne, where I completed my medical degree. I have also undertaken post-graduate general practice, public health and medical education studies in Melbourne, London, and Boston.
    I try and bring a friendly and informal approach to my consultations, and enjoy developing partnerships that explore individualised solutions to health problems. I have special interests in preventive health and lifestyle medicine, men’s health, musculoskeletal conditions and the management of chronic health problems.
    When not at work I enjoy travelling, cycling, scuba diving, and playing the banjo.

    I obtained my medical degree and GP Fellowship in Adelaide before moving back home to Melbourne in 2017. I strive towards comprehensive care for each of my patients, aiming for a healthy mind and healthy body. I enjoy all aspects of women’s health from adolescents to the elderly including mental health, sexual health, contraceptive choices, and menopause management. I insert and remove IUDs and Implanons, and perform iron infusions. I have an interest in allergy medicine including asthma, food allergies, eczema, and rhinitis (hayfever). When I’m not at work you can often find me in a playground or park enjoying an allergy-friendly ice cream with my kids.

  • Dr. Alison Sands

    General Practitioner

    I have over 20 years’ experience in General Practice and enjoy supporting patients to achieve a sense of wellbeing. My diverse range of interests including mental health, musculoskeletal pain, aged care, adolescent health, women’s health and travel health. I am qualified to insert Implanon contraceptives and to perform minor skin procedures. In 2021 I put my Masters of Public Health studies on hold to take up a position as Medical Advisor for Therapeutic Guidelines. When not at work I love sitting outside reading a book with Cinnamon the cat on my lap, walking in nature and video-calling my family who are spread far and wide.

    I am a University of Melbourne medical graduate and an Australian trained GP. I enjoy all aspects of general practice and taking a holistic approach to health. I have a special interest in women’s health and sexual health medicine. I have completed extra certification in these areas through RANZCOG and Family Planning Australia. Discussions regarding pregnancy care, pregnancy choices, contraceptive choices and reproductive health are my areas of interest. I insert and remove Implanons, and remove IUD devices. I am a PrEP prescriber. When not at work, you can find me on long walks with my dog and enjoying the outdoors.

    Psychologist

    I am a healthcare professional who has trained and worked extensively in the diverse disciplines of psychology, tertiary education and chiropractic. My career as a psychologist has been guided by cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), a field of psychology that helps and supports people facing issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues and substance abuse. My broad education gives me an understanding of how physiology and psychology can be applied to treat chronic pain. Respect and understanding inform my guiding principles. Both are key ingredients in maintaining good relationships together with laughter, one of the best forms of medicine!

  • Georgia Rodney

    Psychologist

    I am a registered psychologist with over 13 years’ experience working with adults in a range of settings, including community and inpatient facilities. I foster a dynamic and interactive approach to helping people through life transitions and challenges to meet their personal goals. I enjoy providing support with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, addiction, emotional distress and trauma. I use a range of approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness. In my spare time I love travel, food and art.

    I have six years of combined experience as a registered nurse in hospital and general practice settings. I practiced overseas prior to attending Deakin University in Geelong, and obtaining AHPRA registration in 2018. I consider patient centricity, integrity, efficiency, and respect for people as critical work ethos, complemented with an empathetic and cheerful disposition. I find my work-life balance by spending quality, free time with my family.

    I came to Australia when I was 13 years old from the Philippines. I graduated from RMIT with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2000. I have 10 years’ experience as an emergency nurse as well as 9 years’ as practice nurse. I am very passionate about immunisation, and take pride in being able to protect my community from preventable diseases. In my spare time, I like to read a good book and go camping with my family.

    I moved to Melbourne in 2006 after completing my Nursing Degree in Tasmania in 2004. I have 10+ years’ experience in hospital and surgical nursing, followed by many years in orthopaedics. I am passionate about musculoskeletal health and joint preservation, as well as healthy lifestyle choices through food, nutrition and active exercise. When not at work I enjoy pilates, painting, or just relaxing with my puppy.
